cyber shout! Battle of the Bands

Let’s Cyber Shout! for Computer & Internet Access for Every Filipino

We ALL listen to music, young, old, Filipinos, global citizens, privileged, less fortunate… so the Philippine Internet Users’ Society and OBRA want to invite all Filipino bands with members age 15 to 35 are invited to join cyber shout! Band Competition.

The musicians will perform 3 songs, including the One Web Day jingle which will be performed by the winning band during the jam-packed One Web Day Summit on September 22.

Submit your Band Profiles by August 30, 2009 to be eligible for the first Round!

Awards

• First Prize: P10,000
• Consolation prizes for other winners (plaques and gift items)

How to Participate

• Sign up to be a member of the Philippine Internet Users’ Society
• Download the cyber shout! Band Competition poster and Frequently Asked Questions
• Pre-register your Band by submitting your Band Profile and 5R group photo by August 30, 2009.
• Rehearse for the Pre-screening in August/September. We will notify you of the exact date and venue ahead of time.
• Should your band qualify, you will be required to attend the general assembly for the orientation and production rehearsal. The CD or tape of your entry songs with a copy of lyrics must be presented on the audition day.

Eligibility and Songs

Open to all bands with 2 to 5 members with 15 to 35 years of age. Each band will perform 1) any song that depicts liberty, openness & freedom, 2) originally written composition pertaining to a freedom of access to computers, and 3) OneWebDay Jingle
